1997 - Hawkfield's First Litter
Shanandi Black Shadow x Pipeaway Phan Tasmah.
After 10 years of owning this wonderful breed I took the big step of taking out a Kennel Name and breeding my first Pointer litter. 12 gorgeous puppies were born unfortunately one puppy didn't make it but 11 did and went on to live full and happy lives. I kept a black and white dog puppy Tweed, from this litter.
1999 - Hurwyn Black Jack of Shanandi x Pipeaway Phan Tasmah.
Saphire's second and last litter was to one of the top stud dogs in the country for over a ten year period, Jack. On this occassion she whelped 13 ! This was an extremely successful mating with Hawkfield retaining a dog puppy Hawkfield Jackson and a bitch puppy Hawkfield Cinnamon JW. The stud dog owner Barbara Cherry had a bitch puppy Hawkfield Cayenne and Steve Rose also had a bitch Hawkfield Capsicum of Ridanflight who went on to whelp the first and tremendously successful litter to Multi Champion Chesterhope Lets Be Serious at Kanix.
2003 - Gem's first litter
During a very successful showing career including her Junior Warrant title and two reserve challenge certificates Gem was mated to Pipeaway Holy Whizz and whelped seven beautiful babies. From this litter Hawkfield Seabreeze, an orange and white bitch was retained.
2006 - Gem's second litter
Gem's second and last litter was by Show Champion Scobec Lookindapper (Higgins) this time nine puppies were produced, all black and white. It was decided that two males would be retained although another dog and a bitch are also being shown with great success, Hawkfield Black Tie and Hawkfield Tiara. Dandy (Hawkfield Suited N Booted) Darcy (Hawkfield Dapper in Black JW ) have had tremendous starts to their show careers which are mentioned elsewhere. This litter had such depth in quality with fabulous laid back temperaments...........a beautiful litter.
2007 - Riot's First Litter
In 2007 Riot was mated to Multi Champion Chesterhope Lets Be Serious at Kanix and delighted us with producing 6 beautiful babies, 3 of which are being regularly shown with tremendous success. Both Rowdy and Cracker gained their Stud book numbers whilst still in puppy. Lissom and Rowdy gained their Junior Warrant titles. 2009 saw Rowdy add the title ShCM to his name and in October he also added a Challenge Certificate. In the same month Rowdy won Best Dog at the Pointer Club Open Show whilst Cracker won reserve Best Dog at the same show....talk about keeping it in the family. To my suprise Riot was a brilliant and natural mother !
2007 - Breeze's First Litter
In 2007, after over two years of trying Breeze whelped a very healthy 'split' litter. Six puppies were by Darcy and four were by Darcy's brother Dandy ! To see Breeze rear this beautiful litter was so heartwarming and worth all the past disappointments of failed attempts. We retained a dog puppy Kelt and a bitch puppy Seren. Two dog puppies have also been shown with great success.
